🤱🏻My number 1 is the haakaa! It catches milk from one breast while you nurse on the other. I specifically recommend the one pictured. It has a base so it doesn’t fall over, it suctions to the table, and has the flower stopper so you can stick it right in the fridge. Watch out though, when you babe gets big enough to pick it up, they might dump it out and milk go everywhere (may have happened to me yesterday). If you need help learning how to use it, message me!
🍼I got the Spectra S2 breast pump. There are multiple sites you can order through your insurance, so message us if you need help with this! I love that every part of the pump can be taken off and washed. Replacement parts can be bought at Target! The only downside is that it has to be plugged in to work.
🧴Lanolin cream or ointment is so so helpful in those first few weeks of nursing when it’s painful. It is safe for baby to nurse with it on, so I would just apply it after a nursing session, allowing time for healing between.
💧Vitamin D drops are very important for breastfeeding babies! Especially those winter babes who don’t get much sunlight. I’ve been giving Savvy this brand because it’s one drop a day, so it is easy to place directly on me before she nurses or you can put it in a bottle after it’s warmed.
🍼I chose Avent bottles because they screw on to my Spectra, so I can just pump and straight in the refrigerator they go!
♨️Sterilizers- I definitely use the big Avent one more because it’s super easy to just add water and stick in the microwave. The bags are nice to have on the go, though!
🍼Breastmilk storage bags. I like this brand because they are slim and fit easily in my freezer. I haven’t had any problems with them breaking or leaking as they thawed.
